Giellatekno’s employees
Trond Trosterud is the head of Giellatekno. He holds a doctoral degree in theoretical linguistics, and works primarily on grammatical analysis.
Anders Lorentsen holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He primarily works on web related tasks.
Trond Tynnøl holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a bachelor’s degree in North Saami language and literature. He works on lexicography and various other programming tasks, and has also worken on the Kildin Saami language technology project.
Brede Eder Murberg holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He works on lexicography and various other programming tasks.
Other members of the research group
Lene Antonsen holds a doctorate in Saami language technology, and is cand.philol. with Saami as her main subject. She was the principal designer behind Oahpa (interactive pedagogical programs), but she also works on dictionaries, syntactic analysis, and machine translation. Her position is as professor of Saami linguistics at UiT.
Richard Kowalik Richard Kowalik holds a doctoral degree in general linguistics. His PhD thesis is a grammatical description of South Saami. He is a postdoc in the project “How can language technology make a difference?”, where he investigates the usage and impact of language technology in the South Saami writing community.
